"Conversely, some of the worst vocal performances ever committed to tape have come courtesy of 1970's-era GD vocalist Donna-Jean Godchaux. Her bowel-loosening, stunningly off-key upper-regsiter wails–when foisted upon the unsuspecting at moments like the end of the jam preceding the final chorus of "Playin'" – can be so cringe-inducing they're hilarious."

This is a comment in the blog that i thought was kind of curious given Nick's choice of 5-19-74. Fantastic show, however I always thought it had Donna's single worst bowel-loosening wail. Although it was in Scarlet not Playin' but it is still hilarious.

5/19/74 is on my shortlist of the best of 1974. That's one pick where I'm in 100% with Nick.

Its a great show and on my short list as well, in part because of Donna's true brilliance during that Scarlet. It is hilarious.

Damn you! Now I have to put it on. First Scarlet... then I'll skip on over to the fabulous Truckin> MLB> NFA.
